Interview on Supplements
What are supplements? Well, supplements are definitely
something that every man knows about and probably have taken one time or
another. Different types of supplements have different effects. Some
supplements boost your energy level and some make your muscles become more
defined, but these products raise a lot of red flags to some people. Some
people think supplements do more bad than good, while other people wouldn't go a day without using them.
So, are the supplements helpful or harmful?
In the following
interview, two men are going to answer questions about supplements and one will describe how supplements
affected him. Mr. Feintuch is a 20-year-old sophomore at the University of
South Carolina. He has spent not only a little but more than you can imagine on
supplements. So he is going to tell us about his experience with supplements
and more. Also, we have another Gentleman by the name of Dr. McCambridge. This
man is an experienced doctor who knows about supplements, and who should use them more. So are you ready to get
started?
Interviewer: “Mr.
Feintuch, how much money would you say you have spent on fitness supplements?”
Mr. Feintuch: “I
would say more than $1,000 in 2013.”
Interviewer:
“Would you say spending that much money on supplements is kind of
irresponsible?”
Mr. Feintuch: “I
know some people think that’s a lot of money to spend on supplements, but I
have found many that work well. It’s worth the money.”
Interviewer: “So
you don’t think spending that much money is going a little too far just for
your appearance?”
Mr. Feintuch:
“No, not at all.”
Interviewer: “So
you have had success finding products that work well for you?”
Mr. Feintuch:
“Yes, but there were some that were a waste of money.”
Interviewer:
“What products would you recommend someone to take?”
Mr. Feintuch: “I
would say Muscle Milk, Amplified Mass XXX, and N.O. - Xplode. There are certain
times you should takes these products though. N.P. – Xplode before you work
out, Amplified Mass XXX during your work out, and Muscle Milk after you work
out.”
Interviewer: “Do
you believe that you should use products that are approved by the Food and Drug
Administration?”
Mr. Feintuch:
“Yes I do”
Interviewer:
“Then why do you take products that aren't even tested, the supplements you
take comes from your knowledge only?” Does taken unknowledgeable supplements
not frustrate you any?
Mr. Feintuch:
“Well, it’s frustrating not to know exactly what I am putting in my body, but
I've found three products that have worked, so taking these products is like a get
away from the frustration.”
Interviewer: “Has
taking performance enhancing supplements affected your body in any way?”
Mr. Feintuch: “They
have proven to make me stronger, longer lasting, and feel better about myself.”
Interviewer: “Are
you still taking these supplements?”
Mr. Feintuch: “No,
I have found a new method. I looked up the pros and cons to taking these kinds
of new products and it changed my whole outlook. I am now taking Arimatest, to
raise my testosterone levels, and give me the edge to push myself harder. I
also take amino acids before, during, and after my work to hasten muscle
recovery. After I’m done I finish my gym visit with a whey protein shake.”
Interviewer: “Has
this switch been a cheaper route?”
Mr. Feintuch:
“Yes, it most definitely has.”
Interviewer:
“Thank you so much for your time Mr. Feintuch.”
Mr. Feintuch:”You’re
so welcome.”
Interviewer: “Dr.
McCambridge, coming from a doctor’s point of view, what do you think of
performance enhancing supplements?”
Dr. McCambridge:
“I think it is absolutely fine for adults to take these kinds of supplements.”
Interviewer:
“What about teenagers, since they are the majority that take the supplements?”
Dr. McCambridge:
“I don’t like the idea of kids under the age of 18 taking enhancing
supplements. I think schools and organizations should be proactive in
discouraging the use of performance enhancing substances. High school students
don’t know the importance of a recommended dose. Over dosing can lead to all
kinds of harmful side effects.”
Interviewer: “what
kind of side of effects could Supplements have
on younger kids?”
Dr. McCambridge:
“These drugs could be very harmful to kids and lead them to stomach aches and
muscle cramps, along with other side effects.”
Interviewer:
“Thank you for your opinion on this matter Dr. McCambridge.”
Dr. McCambridge: “You’re very welcome.”
