5 words for English 4 honors

* Enthymeme- An argument in which one premise is not explicitly stated.

(example) "But Brutus says he was ambitious; And Brutus is an honorable man." 

* Enumeration- A number list.

(example) Mary seems to be happy It seems to bother Bill that Mary left.

* Epanalepsis- repetition after intervening words. 


(example) "Rejoice in the lord always; and again I say, Rejoice."* Epanalepsis- Repetition after intervening words. 

* Epistrophe- The repetition of a word at the end of a successive clause or sentence.

(example) Don't you ever talk about my friends! You don't know any of my friends.
You don't look at any of my friends.

* Epithet- An adjective or descriptive phrase expressing a quality characteristics of the person or thing mentioned. 

(example) The idle road stretched for miles.
